This morning at 3
o’clock Mrs. J.B. Robb died at her home on south Washington street after
suffering for a year or more with nervous troubles. In the year 1841 Isabella,
daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Fisher Doherty was born in Crawfordsville. She grew up
to be a lovable and lovely young woman and when eighteen years old was married
to John B. Robb. Eight children, five girls and three boys, came to make their
home life one of much happiness. Some of them have left the family heartstone
and moved away but all returned in time to receive the maternal blessing. Mrs.
Robb was a member of Center Church and exemplified in her daily conduct that
noble and Christian disposition which rendered her life so beautiful. The
funeral services will be conducted at the house Monday afternoon at 2 o’clock
by Rev. Cnningham and Rev. Thomson. Interment at Matonic (sic) cemetery.
